My key won t turn in the door lock.
It will come in two pieces.
If you use too much force trying to remove the key yourself it s possible that your key may snap or break inside the lock cylinder.
If there is a broken tailpiece in your door lock then there is a chance the key will keep turning in the door lock.
A lock is engaged through a series of actions and mechanisms that all depend on each other to function properly.
I would have to re key their door lock an cut them a new key that would also turn their ignition switch.
Outdoor locks can collect a lot of dirt and dust inside the lock cylinder.
Flip the key and open the door.
Spray the lock with lubricant to remove dirt and dust.
Remove the two screws one on either side of the handle and remove the knob.
